M.I.C.E. activity in Rome and Latium 2024
M.I.C.E. activity in Rome and Latium is going well: it has grown in 2024 and will continue to do so this year too, according to data provided by the Oice Observatory on a panel of 512 structures in the Latium region.
In 2024 almost 42 thousand events were organized for 4 million participants, (13% international events) generating around 6 and a half million. Rome was the eighth destination in Europe for meetings and conventions, and hotels remain the preferred location for 83% of events. The average duration of the events was one and a half days.
Corporate events was the most important - 63% of the total - and the most coveted remain the scientific conferences, which have the highest average expense per participant, equal to 600 euros, followed by the meetings of the associations which was 26% of the total, but generate 38% of the attendance.

According to the BTN Europe salary survey, Travel Managers had to overcome four important problems in 2023, such as the significant increase in travel and hospitality costs, significant geopolitical unrest, the limitation of resources and the fragmentation of content.
